Logistics

Official transport

We will provide official transport on Saturday and Sunday for the seminar. Our 45-seater should have plenty of room to load oversized gear.

The bus is scheduled to arrive 15 minutes before departure time and will depart promptly. Please be ready and board before the departure time.

The commute takes between 30-45 minutes each way, so it is recommended to change into your uniform/kyudogi before boarding.

Pick up & drop off area:

Parking

Parking at Te Rauparaha arena’s vast 222 car parking spots is free. We’ve been advised that the car park has a 3 hour time limit but is not monitored on weekends, and seminar attendees can utilise the car park throughout.

Seminar attendees can also park at the Hagley St. car park. It’s free during weekends and is the closest walking distance to the stadium.

Changing rooms in Te Rauparaha Arena (NZCT Stadium)

Seminar attendees will have exclusive use of both men’s and women's changing rooms. The doors will be locked nightly.

You may leave your gear or personal belongings in there. However, the rooms will not be monitored throughout the seminar weekend, so this is at your own risk.

Venue food policy

There are water fountains at the venue and food is allowed inside the stadium. To prevent food spillage, bottled drinks with closed caps, or leak-proof tumblers are preferred.

You can also bring your own personal lunch/snacks. However, the venue’s food safety guidelines say that if multiple people are sharing food, then the food must have been prepared in a commercial kitchen (e.g. supermarket food).

Lunch near the venue

No catering will be provided for lunch during the event.

There are many great lunch options within a 5-10 minute walk from the stadium; cafes, supermarkets, and restaurants. The stadium also has a new cafe with a seating area.

We highly recommend Kai Tahi food hall. It is a lovely space with a lot of seating and food options.
